Private Wealth Management (PWM)

Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond.

The Investment Strategy Group (ISG) within Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management has responsibility for strategic and tactical asset allocation views and advice for the firm’s high net worth clients and certain institutions.  The role of an ISG member requires a broad set of qualities, including a passion for investing, client servicing, as well as strong analytical and communication skills.

The Tactical Asset Allocation team (TAA) within ISG seeks to generate tactical alpha for clients’ portfolios by investing across macro asset classes (equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities).  In addition to its investment mandate, the TAA publishes several widely distributed reports and Outlooks each year, and is responsible for disseminating and communicating macro investment vies to the firm’s clients.

As our US Fixed Income Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting macroeconomic research, analyzing central bank and regulatory shifts and generating yield targets and tactical views across US Fixed Income markets.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL 

  • Monitor and perform analysis on macroeconomic developments, regulatory shifts and policy changes that may impact US fixed income.
  • Develop and maintain models and tools to generate forecasts and identify investment opportunities in the fixed income market.
  • Collaborate with team members as well as internal and external resources to generate forecasts and identify tactical trading opportunities.
  • Clearly convey views to team members and internal / external clients

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred
  • Proven experience as a fixed income specialist with a focus on US Treasuries and municipal bonds
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with expertise in statistical modeling and forecasting techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets, macroeconomics, and monetary policy
  • Experience with Bloomberg, Reuters, or other financial data platforms
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $115000-$270000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
