PGIM Real Estate is seeking a junior buy-side REIT investment analyst to be a part of the Global Real Estate Securities group, which maintains a focus on multiple public equity investment strategies, with current assets under management of over $3B.

The Junior Investment Analyst role will be responsible for assisting in the management of our global REIT equities portfolios. This role will be responsible for providing analytical support to Senior Analysts and Portfolio Managers to aid in fundamental real estate analysis, security selection, portfolio analysis, and risk factor analysis. In addition, this role will also support marketing efforts, client reporting, and operations of the Global Real Estate Securities portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative abilities with a background in finance, accounting, economics, or real estate. A high degree of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential. Knowledge of Bloomberg is preferred but not required. Strong analytical and communications skills are essential as well as the ability to perform well both within a team environment and independently.

Your Day to Day:

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting Senior Analysts and Portfolio Managers in stock selection process
  • Assisting with company financial modelling, creation of NAV models, and company price targets
  • Conducting real estate fundamental analysis
  • Assisting with the maintenance and monitoring of various portfolio and security models
  • Working with sell-side analysts
  • Attending property tours and industry conferences
  • Assisting with client reporting and portfolio analysis, including attribution analysis
  • Assisting with internal and external marketing presentations
  • Assisting with preparation of RFP’s

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s program graduating between December 2023 and May 2024. Finance, accounting, economics, or real estate preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High degree of proficiency in Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential; experience with Bloomberg preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of financial accounting, financial modeling, and statistical analysis
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • 0-3 years of experience in the real estate investment industry preferred
  • Ability to perform well both within a team environment and independently
  • A capable and enthusiastic individual who is a self-starter, able to work under pressure and comfortable with taking the initiative
  • CFA participation a plus
