Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with Apollo Infrastructure, Natural Resources, and Climate to target portfolio company financing opportunities
  • Work with deals teams to determine, recommend and negotiate optimal capital structures for each new investment
  • Attend all investment committee meetings to help generate idea flow and client targeting
  • Develop timely insight into current capital markets, including what forces are driving the markets, types of lenders in the markets, debt instruments available, etc.
  • Drive execution processes for portfolio company financings
  • Maintain relationships with capital markets and banking teams focused on core verticals at each bank/investment bank
  • Maintain relationships with institutional debt investors and investment banking teams to encourage direct dialogue, partnership opportunities and syndication participation
  • Prepare, organize and maintain deal-related marketing materials and analyses

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 8 years of work experience in either investment banking, debt capital markets or debt syndicate with a focus on infrastructure, energy, and climate verticals
  • Experience in leveraged and project financing markets, with experience across the capital structure (securitizations, asset backed financing, etc.)
  • Capability to underwrite and structure debt instruments
  • Entrepreneurial, business-building mindset with strong relationship building mentality
  • Established network of debt investors and banking relationships
  • Strong understanding of credit market dynamics (fundamentals, valuation, etc.)
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills including liability management
  • Thorough understanding of financial and credit analysis, valuation and primary fundamental research and their application in investment decisions and transaction structuring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a willingness and ability to work across products or geographic lines
  • High level of motivation and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, dynamic environment
  • FINRA licenses (7, 63 and 79)
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Pay Range


The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
