What can you expect?

  • Mercer’s Investment Solutions team within our Wealth business serves Mercer’s large discretionary institutional client base
  • The OCIO oversees client portfolio management and implementation for a specific group of delegated investment services clients, including the selection, monitoring, and replacement of specific managers consistent with NFP Investment Committee and client guidelines
  • You will assist with new prospect sales activities as the Office of the CIO representative, and implement Dynamic Asset Allocation decisions consistent with firm views and client risk profile
  • The role will include drafting of investment guidelines, developing marketing messages, portfolio trading, and asset allocation/portfolio structuring analyses

We will count on you to:

  • Have day-to-day portfolio management responsibility for OCIO portfolio (Manager/Product Selection, Rebalancing, Cash flow management, Dynamic Asset Allocation, Liaise with CIO, Best Idea implementation/management at the specific client level)
  • Maintain private capital road map, coordinating with Strategy Consultant and private capital ICs to establish pacing schedule and maintain long-term private capital portfolio construction objectives
  • Attend client meetings 2-4 times per year, depending on the complexity and requirements of the specific client relationship
  • Represent the delegated investment philosophy and processes at prospect meetings as the liaison from the Office of the CIO, working with the Investments sales force
  • Assist with new client transitions via set-up of portfolio management system models, ensuring correct selection and use of specific vehicles and timely implementation
  • Maintain FINRA licensing to be able to solicit new OCIO relationships that are expected to engage Mercer branded mutual funds and limited partnerships

What you need to have:

  • 15+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or CFA preferred
  • Strong investment acumen

  • Previous asset management consulting experience
  • Experience with not-for-profit alternatives/private equity hedge funds

The applicable base salary range for this role is $162,000 to $324,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
