First Eagle Alternative Credit (FEAC) is a leading manager of direct lending and tradable credit investment products, with approximately $21 billion of assets under management (as of June 30, 2023). FEAC advises a full range of public and private investment vehicles, including a business development company, interval fund, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), separately managed accounts and comingled funds. Who we are looking for:

First Eagle is seeking a candidate who will serve as a point of contact for all inquiries, requests, and issues related to account, composite, and index performance. The candidate must develop solid working relationships with internal clients to provide a high level of support. Areas of oversight include individual account performance, composites, benchmark oversight, peer and benchmark performance, portfolio attribution, portfolio characteristics, mutual fund and institutional factsheets, monthly and quarterly separate account client investment reports, and several daily internal reports detailing account performance.

What you will do:

  • Engage and work closely with the Portfolio Managers, Institutional Sales, International Wholesale, Product Development, Compliance and Marketing teams to provide timely reporting and attribution analysis both on a regular reporting cycle and ad hoc basis
  • Act as a resource for the performance group for both internal and external clients
  • Manage client reporting and prepare custom reports, ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Respond to questions from Portfolio Managers, relationship management regarding the performance-calculation process
  • Maintain the integrity of performance return data within Geneva, the firm’s portfolio accounting system
  • Identify and resolve issues relating to daily performance measurement and daily attribution
  • Provide meaningful portfolio analyses; examples of these include trading analysis, risk analysis, turnover analysis, and dispersion analysis
  • Maintain the integrity of all composites, index, and attribution performance data for the firm
  • Break down complex performance topics into simplified examples so they are easy to understand for non-performance measurement specialists
  • Identify, analyze, and report performance dispersion
  • Ensure composite performance results are calculated, constructed, and presented according to the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS)
  • Assist in annual GIPS verification
  • Participate in responding to RFP’s, RFI’s and DDQ’s
  • Keep in touch of changes in the industry and assess impact to policies and procedures
  • Be the subject matter expert for FactSet data and results


The qualities you should have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field;
    CIPM or CFA a plus
  • 1-2 years of relevant finance industry experience; working in a performance-related role within the asset management industry a plus
  • Working knowledge of the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) the verification process, standards, composite construction and maintenance
  • Familiar with performance attribution analysis and software
  • Strong problem-solving and quantitative skills required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Awareness of client reporting process, deadlines, and needs
  • Proactive and self-motivated “can do” attitude
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • High level of Excel proficiency; experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, or Morningstar Direct a plus



Base Salary range: $75,000 to $85,000.  In addition, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus. Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to – the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
