Position

Rockefeller Asset Management, a division of Rockefeller Capital Management, serves institutions, financial professionals, and other institutionally-minded investors through equity, fixed income, and alternative solutions that seek outperformance driven by a disciplined investment process. As of June 30, 2023, Rockefeller Asset Management has approximately $12 billion in assets under management.

 

As Partner of the Growth Equity Investing team, the candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and identifying, conducting due diligence, and executing on investment opportunities. The individual will collaborate closely with Rockefeller Asset Management leaders, Chief Investment Officer, and the entire investment team. The investment team is held to high standards with a culture centered on (1) putting clients first, (2) striving for excellence, (3) delivering results, and (4) collaborating as a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sourcing, due diligence, and execution of growth equity investment opportunities within technology and consumer sectors.
• Demonstrate proficiency in structuring and negotiating complex investment deals.
• Perform valuation analyses of prospective investment opportunities, including the assessment of financial risks.
• Ability to attract and hire investment talent.
• Monitor the strategic, operational, and financial performance of portfolio companies.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive successful investment outcomes while adhering to firm’s culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience private equity within technology or consumer sectors.
• Successful track record sourcing, valuing, structuring, and closing investment transactions with deal sizes exceeding $50 million.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration. with internal teams, external stakeholders, and industry counterparts.

Compensation Range

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $250,000 – $300,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
