UTIMCO is looking for an Analyst to join our growing Strategic Partnership and Tactical Asset Allocation (SP/TAA) team. The successful candidate will utilize data to derive insights that drive firmwide investment strategy. The selected individual will benefit from UTIMCO’s diverse investment platform, working closely with our Strategic Partners, the CEO/CIO, our internal Risk Management team, and UTIMCO’s asset-class specialists.

Broad Responsibilities Include:

  • Building in-depth familiarity with the organizations, people, markets and portfolios of UTIMCO’s Strategic Partnerships
  • Learning and leveraging existing reporting infrastructure in python, Excel, and PowerBI while driving further enhancements
  • Supporting quantitative investment research for the systematic TAA portfolio and the Strategic Asset Allocation process
  • Collaborating with our Strategic Partners and the UTIMCO team to foster robust knowledge sharing across UTIMCO through Strategic Partnership Summits and innovation projects
  • Supporting UTIMCO’s equity and derivatives trading function as required

Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of professional experience in investment-related field
  • Undergraduate degree from a reputable institution with demonstrated interest in finance/investing and some coursework in statistics
  • Analytically minded and comfortable working with data
  • Experience processing and analyzing data with tools like Python and PowerBI
  • Well-versed in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Flexibility and willingness/ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Awareness of UTIMCO’s cultural traits and a commitment to adopting them
  • Represent UTIMCO in the marketplace with the highest professionalism

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Progress made towards a CFA
  • Experience working with relational databases
  • Exposure to multi-asset and Tactical Asset Allocation strategies
