Position Summary

Bessemer Trust is seeking a talented Investment Strategies Analyst to join the Investment Strategy Team. The Investment Strategy Team focuses on macroeconomic research and financial market analysis as well as delivering asset allocation and investment recommendations to clients. The Analyst will work closely with the Chief Investment Strategist and Chief Investment Officer and provide research support by collecting data, providing analysis, and generating reports.

The successful candidate will be willing and able to engage in daily discussions regarding financial market conditions, outlooks, and investment goals. The ideal candidate will have excellent research experience, robust analytical abilities, effective written and verbal skills, and a collaborative nature. The candidate should also possess a solid grasp of using primary data sources to investigate research questions and knowledge of analytical methods.


Key responsibilities and objectives:

  1. Read, research, and remain current on the global economy and financial markets to help generate ideas and input toward the platform’s broader investment strategy.
  2. Conduct research and analyze data on economic and market topics to create client presentations and other publications.
  3. Assist in writing and development of internal and external communications produced by the Investment Strategies team.
  4. Work with the team to create and improve tools and processes utilized by client advisors for making asset allocation and investment decisions pertaining to client portfolios.
  5. Help the team answer questions from clients and client advisors pertaining to specific securities, asset classes, portfolios, or economic issues.
  6. Special projects, as needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally 1-3 years in finance or a related field.
  • Excellent quantitative, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent capabilities in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with financial software such as Bloomberg and/or FactSet.
  • Experience building and interpreting statistical models.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative, highly energetic, proactive, positive, and flexible in the face of internal and external challenges.
  • Graduate degree and/or CFA designation a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $75,000.00 – $90,000.00. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.

In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary incentive based on individual and company performance.
