Tulane University, officially the Tulane University of Louisiana, is a private research university in New Orleans, Louisiana. Founded as the Medical College of Louisiana in 1834 by seven young medical doctors, it was turned into a comprehensive public university as the University of Louisiana by the state legislature in 1847.[7] The institution became private under the endowments of Paul Tulane and Josephine Louise Newcomb in 1884 and 1887. The Tulane University Law School and Tulane University Medical School are, respectively, the 12th oldest law school and 15th oldest medical school in the United States.


The Investment Analyst will work as a member of an eight-person investment team that manages Tulane University’s $2.1 billion Endowment. The Investment Analyst position will consist of a three-year rotation through the various investment asset classes in which Tulane University’s Endowment is invested, including public and private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds. The position entails detailed research and analysis on financial markets globally and to specific investment managers, both existing and prospective, through which the Endowment is invested. The Analyst supports the full range of investment due diligence, including manager sourcing and meetings, financial and risk analysis, and developing investment recommendations. The position offers an opportunity to have an impact on the University, develop specialized investment expertise, and gain broad exposure to various asset classes in an intellectually stimulating and collaborative environment. Based in the New York City area, some travel is required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A passion for financial markets and investing

• Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as the ability to interact courteously and effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds
• Ability to anticipate and meet deadlines, establish work assignment priorities, and perform duties without immediate, constant supervision
• Proficiency with Microsoft office products, specifically with Excel
• Ability to generate error-free work and adhere to control checks that are established for the role
Required Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative or investment-related field

• Investment experience

This position is classified as “exempt, salaried” and is assigned to pay grade UNCLASSIFI.
