What You Will Be Doing:

 

Research, analyze and prepare investment reports as key member of team responsible for managing $6.5 billion of insurance and pension assets. Ensures accuracy of transaction and reporting data on alternative investments, including private equity, real estate and private credit. Participates in monitoring of external managers across alternative asset classes. Active member of ongoing diligence and monitoring of current managers, as well as prospective research and diligence of new managers and new strategies. Prepares various reports and analyses for presentation to Investment Committee. Develops analytical reports, maintains accuracy of various files and records systems related to the Companies’ portfolios. Suggests monitoring process improvements and proactively seeks to implement them. Executes approved purchase and sale transactions. Prepares information and reports for regulators, auditors and other internal departments as required.

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • Exposure to institutional investment atmosphere preferred; passion for asset management required.
  • BA or BS in Analytical field required. MBA, CFA and/or CAIA, or demonstrated commitment to pursue, preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Knowledge of various institutional asset classes. Preferred exposure or expertise of working with a specific asset class, such as private equity or private credit.
  • Typically requires 1-3 years of investment related experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Advanced knowledge of financial spreadsheet functionality preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple detailed tasks simultaneously with high degrees of precision.
  • Exposure to investment management accounting and information software preferred (i.e., Clearwater, Bloomberg).
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
