The Chief Investment Office (CIO) of Prudential conducts asset and liability management and portfolio construction for all of Prudential’s domestic and international business operations and manages over $400 billion in assets under management. Prudential Select Strategies LLC is a unit of the CIO responsible for alternative investments.

Prudential Select Strategies LLC is a registered investment adviser that originates, underwrites, and manages a diversified portfolio of fund investments to maximize risk-adjusted return on required capital. The team is organized into the following asset classes and teams: Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Real Assets, Manager of Managers, Operational Due Diligence, and Risk Management. The Alternative Assets Team within Prudential Select Strategies managed over $15 billion.
The candidate will be expected to:

  • Support senior investment professionals in the due diligence and selection process of asset managers on behalf of the general account portfolio.
  • Work closely with senior investment professionals to perform on-going monitoring, analysis, and reporting of investment mandates.
  • Conduct ad-hoc quantitative and qualitative analyses, benchmarking, and identifying peer groups.
  • Conduct global market, industry, and strategy research and be informed about current and developing sector and market trends, as well as support related analytical projects.
  • This role is a part of the CIO Analyst Program, a three-year, entry-level role within the Chief Investment Office. Our program provides exposure to multiple pockets of a dynamic organization while creating the opportunity for success and recognition through substantial and long-term business impact.

Required Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of prior financial services experience; fixed income related experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-oriented curriculum; preferred majors include finance, economics, or a similarly quantitative subject area
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $80,000 to $88,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
