Job Summary

The Bessemer Trust is seeking talented interns to join our Investments Department. This exciting opportunity will give interns the opportunity to assist the Investment Department’s Chief Investment Officer (CIO), investment strategists, group heads, portfolio managers, and their teams in all aspects of macroeconomic, industry, and external manager-specific research.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to analysis of various macroeconomic factors and their impact on market levels; industry and sector screening and analysis, financial model construction, and asset valuation.

The Bessemer Trust Internship Program:
Our summer internship program offers real world experience working side-by-side with experts from departments and offices across our firm. Working within your designated team, you will manage individual and group projects, interact with senior leaders, and attend a variety of career development sessions. You will also network with fellow interns in-person and virtually, as well as during our intern days held in our New York headquarters.

This 10-week program is designed to mimic the experience of a full-time employee, providing an opportunity to build subject matter expertise and enhance your career at Bessemer and beyond.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate potential market effects of changes in various macroeconomic factors and/or government policies;
  • Conduct asset class, geographic, factor, industry, and sector-specific analyses
  • Execute any other assignment as directed by the CIO and investment strategies team
  • Comprehensive written analysis of investment theses and portfolio implications.


  • Candidates will be in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably between junior and senior years, with excellent academic credentials
  • Effective analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Candidates must be team-oriented, results-driven, a self-starter, and possess a “can-do” attitude;
  • Candidates must possess both a desire to continuously learn and an inherent intellectual curiosity.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $24.00 – $26.00. Hourly rates will vary and will be based on various factors.
