The State Board of Administration (SBA) is primarily an asset management organization responsible for investing state and local government assets. Established by the state’s constitution, its mission is to provide superior investment and trust services while adhering to the highest ethical, fiduciary, and professional standards.
Responsibilities
The Active Credit team is seeking an intern to start during the Summer 2026 semester, with the option of extending into the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. The Active Credit intern will be an integral member of the Active Credit team and will be given real- world assignments directly relevant to the decision-making processes of the asset class.
Duties include:
- Supporting Active Credit staff in the management, monitoring and analysis of private credit and multi-asset credit investments
- Assisting with components of oversight, maintenance, and input of data into the asset classes’ CRM and risk management system
- Assisting on all periodic and ad hoc reporting and qualitative and quantitative investment manager analytics
- Performing special projects, as appropriate and directed by the Active Credit team
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university at a senior or graduate level
- Pursuing a degree in a field of study related to investments, finance or economics
- An overall GPA of at least 3.0
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Access, Word, Excel)
- Ability to exercise initiative and work independently with limited direction and oversight
- Ability to prioritize work assignments in order to meet deadlines
- Ability to research and summarize key points effectively
- Strong organizational and analytical skills including attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intellectual curiosity and the desire to learn
- General knowledge of investments required
Hiring Rate: $15 per hour
