General Summary And Purpose

As the Head of ETFs, you will be responsible for leading the strategic development and management of our Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) business, including both our active and passive capabilities in this space. Positioned within one of the fastest growth areas of our industry, you will play a critical role in driving the growth and success of our ETF offerings, overseeing all aspects of product development, distribution, marketing, and operations. This position requires a combination of strategic vision, market insight, and strong leadership abilities to position our ETF business for long-term success in a competitive landscape.

You will report to the President, Investment Franchises & Solutions / Head of Product & Strategy.

You Will

 

  • Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the ETF business, aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the firm.
  • Product Innovation: Identify opportunities for new ETF products and enhancements to existing offerings, working closely with the investment, research, and product development teams. This will span both active and passive offerings.
  • Distribution and Marketing: Lead efforts to expand distribution channels and increase market penetration for our ETFs through effective marketing initiatives, digital engagement and acquisition, partnerships, and client interaction. You will work closely with our centralized sales team and have responsibility for directing our dedicated ETF sales team to activate sales growth and maintain our position in the market.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, financial advisors, and other key stakeholders to understand their needs and preferences, and to effectively position our ETF solutions.
  • Operations: Ensure we maintain a high-quality operating platform for implementing our ETF strategies. You will leverage the scale of our platform and drive efficiencies, while identifying and evolving best practices.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to ETFs, staying abreast of industry developments and implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the ETF team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, and developing talent within the organization.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the investment performance and sales results of our ETF products, tracking key metrics and performance drivers to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent the firm in industry forums, conferences, and other events to enhance our visibility and reputation within the ETF marketplace.

You Have

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in asset management preferred, with a focus on ETFs a plus.
  • Proven history of success in product development, distribution, and management of ETFs or other investment products.
  • Deep understanding of the ETF marketplace, including industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
