Type of Role: InvestmentsOperations

Experience Level: VP/Principal/Director

Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Salary: $362K - $473K

Mercer’s Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) and investment solutions help companies focus resources on what matters most — their people and business strategy — and less on managing their retirement plans. Our OCIO and Investment Solutions professionals assist in setting investment strategies that leverage our investment capabilities across our global enterprise — and by fusing economics with empathy.

Mercer is looking to recruit a Global Head of Data for its Investment Solutions Business (Mercer Investments). The Head of Data will be focused on the setting and executing on the strategic direction of investment data and will report into the Global Chief Operating Officer, Mercer Investment Solutions.

This need has been born from Mercer Investments’ organic growth; starting out as an Investment Consulting business which has since transformed into a Delegated Investment Solutions (OCIO) model. Mercer is looking to build its next generation of the Investment Platform for its assets under management (AUM), with a future state of having $1 trillion AUM. This therefore needs clear strategic direction and orchestration.

Whilst the role covers Mercer’s Investments business, the initial priority will be focused on Mercer’s Investment Solutions business unit, where large-scale strategic transformation is currently taking place, which will rely on effective Data & Technology capabilities.

The main remit of the role is to drive strategic change within the business, lead the global data team delivery and to partner with Mercer’s Data & Analytics (D&A) COE and Global Technology teams to deliver the technical implementation. The role will be based in either Boston, Dublin, or London, but would be expected to engage and unify the Investment data strategy with Mercer teams across multiple regions.
