Global Fixed Income Trader – Job Description

The Global Fixed Income Trader is responsible for the execution of trades for ACI Fixed Income Portfolio Managers. The team executes trades in fixed income, currencies, and derivatives. Main goals are to provide best execution to all clients, and to deliver quality market intelligence that is alpha generative. We are looking for a candidate with a background in Fixed Income and FX trading to join the team in New York as a Trader that focuses on FX and EM.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of cash bond and derivatives across DM rates, EM credit and SOVS, EM local, and FX in both OTC and listed products.
  • Serve as lead trader for EM while functioning as a multi-asset trader on all other products.
  • This seat is on an execution desk that requires strong communication with fellow traders to ensure all orders are executed correctly.
  • High level of engagement with PMs on market color, technicals, fund flows and liquidity.
  • Collaborate with ACI departments on enhancing standard processes in OPS, Legal and compliance, IT, Data and other areas.
  • Develop strong relationships with ACI’s counterparties to enhance liquidity, strategy and primary.


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or other business-related field is required. MBA, CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), or CAA (Chartered Asset Allocator) desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years of trading experience in Fixed Income/FX.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with strong people skills.
  • Be a brand ambassador for ACI.
  • A highly detail oriented individual.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, filter information overflow at all times. Be able to handle pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Ownership of execution outcomes and decision making which includes timing of trades and strategy.
  • Desire to work as part of a high performing team that generates ideas on execution strategies, market color, and firm wide projects.
  • Willing to work in the office 3-5 days a week

For NY and CA based candidates, the salary range for this role is $120,000.00 – $160,000.00. Actual offers are based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. This position is eligible for cash incentive providing the potential to earn more.
