      • Position: We are looking for a senior macroeconomist covering primarily the U.S. The position will be based in New York and is a critical member of JPM Wealth Management’s Global Investment StrategyJob Responsibilities

         

        • Formulate a solid macroeconomic view of the U.S. over the short- and long-run.
        • Create compelling and differentiated macroeconomic content.
        • Regularly present macroeconomic views to internal stakeholders and JPM clients.
        • Present macroeconomic views (and broader GIS views) on TV and other media outlets.
        • Coordinate macroeconomic views with the broader GIS team.

        Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

         

        • BA is required. Masters and/or PhD is preferred.
        • 10+ years’ experience in macroeconomic theory and research methods.
        • Demonstrated ability to produce compelling and differentiated macroeconomic content.
        • Experience with the media (TV, print, social) preferred.
        • Strong quantitative, data analysis and modeling/coding skills.
        • Broad understanding of financial markets. The candidate will frequently participate in cross asset dialogue so experience in a cross-asset setting is a plus.
        • Prior experience generating investment ideas based on macroeconomic views preferred.
        • Diligence in a fast moving and demanding environment.
        • Strong collaborator with great communication and relationship skills.
