      • Role Summary 

        The Alternatives Investment Strategy& Solutions (AISS) team is an independent team within J.P. Morgan Asset Management, which leverages the breadth of the J.P. Morgan Alternatives platform to design, build, and manage multi-alternatives solutions. The Investment Specialist will work closely with the AISS investment and portfolio management team to play a lead role in prospecting for new clients for multi-alternatives solutions, deepening existing client and consultant relationships, and assisting in the creation of innovative and differentiated multi-alternatives thought leadership. To be successful in the role, the candidate will require excellent verbal and written communication skills, deep private markets knowledge, an ability to work directly with clients across client channels, and excellent attention to detail and detailed organizational skills. The position is to be based in New York. The geographic focus of the role is across the Americas.Job Responsibilities


        • Lead role in identifying, developing, and growing our Americas client base across AISS discretionary and non-discretionary solutions (including U.S. private wealth and institutional channels, such as registered investment advisors, wealth management platforms, public and corporate pension plans, insurance clients, E&Fs, and institutional consultants).
        • Detailed investment knowledge, working in close partnership with the AISS investment team on the AISS investment process and how the AISS offering fits within the Global Alternatives platform, as well as with multi-alternatives product development and product design
        • Keeping abreast of the competitor landscape and providing insights and driving messaging on how to best position our strategies and solutions relative to the competitive market
        • Ability to understand complex private markets analytical solutions and be able to succinctly articulate to clients, working closely and developing strong relationships with Client Advisors across the Americas, as well as with external clients
        • Create and maintain customized top quality collateral for multi-alternatives solutions (e.g., flipbooks, market overviews, etc.), including leading the completion of customized client requests, including RFPs, RFIs and DDQs
        • Establish strong understanding of J.P. Morgan Alternatives platform and investment strategies, including partnering closely with Alternatives product teams
        • Focusing on teamwork, with particular emphasis on fostering and mentoring junior talent within the group and an active member of Alternatives leadership and community efforts

        Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills


        • Minimum 7-10+ years of experience successfully raising capital for alternatives investment strategies or equivalent investment experience; preference with strong experience raising capital across diversified alternatives strategies
        • Strong understanding of a range of investor types; private wealth knowledge and experience preferred
        • Ability to deliver concise, persuasive and technically sound new business presentations and investment reviews including market outlook, the overall portfolio and underlying investments
        • Excellent written and oral communication skills and intellectual curiosity in the subject matter
        • Strong understanding of alternatives portfolio construction, with the ability to interpret complex analytical engagements and articulate them across all solutions being represented by this team
        • Ability to incorporate current economic forecast information from internal and external sources into asset class and fund positioning communications and working knowledge of portfolio construction and strategic asset allocation
        • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics or related field

        • MBA/CFA/CAIA preferred
        • Series 3, 7, 24 and 63 certifications (or willingness to achieve)
