DUTIES:                Apply expertise in financial modeling, presentation creation, and Economic Value Added (EVA) analysis to a variety of investment strategies including a long-short investment portfolio. Use a strong understanding of derivative securities to incorporate various derivative strategies for absolute returns or to better manage fund risk exposures. Monitor capital markets activity and evaluate transactions such as IPOs and secondary raises and determine appropriate allocations of these transactions across different investment strategies and client account types. Cultivate and manage a network of relationships among senior company management teams and different buy-side and sell-side financial market participants. Conduct financial analysis, due diligence, and fundamental research to support investment decisions for the team across asset classes and strategies (both public and private). Apply valuation skills to the private markets and understand and analyze companies through different stages of their corporate lifecycles. Research, evaluate, and recommend investment ideas that meet investment objectives across different security types such as equities, fixed income, and structured credit products. Conduct industry research on economic issues and internally provide research findings to managers through potential white papers on key thematic issues. Compile, analyze, and report data to explain trends and develop forecasts, stay abreast of new trends and socioeconomic impacts of new public policies.
REQTS:                  Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered, as an Economist, Analyst, or a related position. Must have three (3) years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or investment research with all of the following: Corporate finance, accounting, valuation methodologies, EVA analysis and financial modeling, including: three-statement financial modeling with scenario sensitivity analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, WACC calculations, comparable company analysis, economic value analysis, comparable acquisition analysis, credit analysis, and leveraged buyout analysis; Financial analysis and investment management; and Synthesizing large quantities of data and distilling it down to a concise and succinct thesis utilizing Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), Bloomberg, and financial market databases. Must have two (2) years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or investment research with all of the following: Evaluating fixed income and/or structured credit product opportunities in the process of investment analysis; Evaluating capital market transactions including IPOs and secondary raises; Assessing materiality within an ESG framework across public and private investments; Derivatives and generating derivative strategies; Incorporating investment decisions across a variety of different investment strategies and client account types; Monitoring of market-moving data applying knowledge of both macroeconomics and microeconomics; Public markets investing; and Private markets investing. Must have passed at least level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Asset Allocator (CAA) exam.

SALARY:               $150,000 – $150,000 per year

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $150,000-$150,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
