Role Summary:
Provide insight and guidance to identify investment opportunities and optimize risk-return potential while also being responsible for the realization of short and long term objectives.
Role & Responsibilities
• Ultimate responsibility for the firm’s investment portfolios
• Oversee a team of professionals to include Research.
• Monitor investment activities
• Set investment goals and strategies and assume responsibility for the company’s investment portfolio models
• Design a repeatable investment process
• Execute asset allocation, portfolio construction and tactical positioning
• Perform indepth independent analysis of individual investment products, strategies and portfolios across asset classes
• Create new strategic and tactical investment themes as well as build and identify the best execution instruments for those investment themes
• Make presentations to clients on investment strategy, tactical portfolio positioning and macroeconomics via webinar, written reports and meetings
• Market/communicate Cantor investment strategies internally to portfolio managers and externally to clients.
• Continuously monitor client performance and AUM
• Develop new and expand existing relationships with clients and key financial institutions.
• Develop research techniques / process improvements / best in class concepts and methods

KPIs – Advisory and Discretionary Portfolio AUM and Product Distribution Revenue

Skills Required
• Over 20 years Investment experience
• Large network of high net worth clients
• Relevant Academic qualification – preferred is BA in Mathematical Science
• Qualified under Minimum Competency – MCC: holds Registered Representative certificate , or QFA or APA Investments designation
• Professional Membership – Preferred is Fellow of Institute & Society of Actuaries

This role is a PCF-30, CF-1, CF-7, and CF-10 designation under the Central Bank’s Fitness & Probity Standards.

PCF-30 – Chief Investment Officer CF-1 – Ability to exercise a significant influence on the conduct of the affairs of a regulated financial service provider CF-7 – Management or supervision of those persons undertaking CF3 to CF6 roles CF-10 – Dealing in or having control over property of a customer of the regulated financial service provider
