Working directly with the Chief Investment Officer and LGIM America’s asset class team heads to support the effective management and development off LGIM America’s investment capabilities.  Responsible for the oversight of financial planning, expenditure and governance processes, working closely with the Finance team, and the provision of high quality and informative business intelligence to senior management.  Be a lead on change projects, including regulatory, operational, technology and infrastructure related initiatives. Responsible for working with senior stakeholders within the department and the winder business, creating solutions and generating ideas that will ensure we continue to evolve our business model and meet the changing demands of our clients.

Role is based in Chicago, Illinois


  • Support the CIO and direct reports in department organization design, continuous performance improvement, and identifying on-going cost efficiencies.
  • Understand the end to end process for the target and budget setting process, audit, risk and compliance monitoring and HR issues etc.
  • Regularly discuss the biggest challenges posed to the team and work together to overcome these challenges by implementing practical solutions that continually strengthen the team’s infrastructure.
  • Monitor progress against financial targets, sharing updates with the senior management team, highlighting reasons and providing input into discussions on resulting actions.
  • Liaise with Finance and Distribution to ensure that fund flows, expenses and budgets track as planned and trends within each are known and understood.
  • Lead or coordinate change projects for the Investment team, using appropriate subject matter expertise to shape and inform the projects’ objectives and their successful delivery. Support and participate in enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Provide support to ensure compliance to regulation and risks are being managed and minimized.
  • Work with the active teams and other parts of the business including 2nd line functions to support effective process mapping, design and risk management arrangements.
  • Support the ongoing efficiency of RMS controls and evidencing of controls in order that the Investment control environment remains robust on an ongoing basis. Seek to enhance the framework available to ensure we are market-leading in our control environment.


  • 10+ years of experience in a comparable role or have a proven track record in the role’s core competencies
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects to time, budget and scope
  • Must be able to demonstrate a collaborative approach with other teams to establish the appropriate approach to projects
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully implement plans
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to ensure detailed plans are up to date and followed
  • Must be able to demonstrate critical evaluation of information relating to projects, with good judgement on risks, and accurate understanding through team communication of project status
  • Must be able to demonstrate the confidence and influence to encourage the business and technical team. Must ensure that the required tasks are clear and progress against them is measured
