MIM has an exciting opportunity to join MIM’s EMEA Client Portfolio Management team as Analyst or Associate and gain client exposure while developing your private investment skillset and understanding of infrastructure debt, corporate private credit and asset based finance.
Based in London and reporting to the Head of EMEA Portfolio Management and Global Sustainability for Private Fixed Income , you’ll join a small team that manages approx. £6 billion equiv. AUM on behalf of more than 20 institutional clients in Europe and further afield. Our clients include both insurance companies and pension funds.
You will get broad exposure to the investment life cycle and support investment selection for client portfolios, client due diligence, trade execution, ongoing investment monitoring and pricing, and associated client reporting. You will play a key role in allocating transactions among clients. You will also contribute to maintaining client relationships and participate in client meetings and presentations.
This role would suit a team player who is keen to gain exposure to insurance and pension private credit investment and has excellent analytical skills, good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Work closely with the Origination, Credit and Sustainability teams within Private Fixed Income to support the origination of new deala, with a view to maximise client participation.
- Support mandate deployment by preparing investment pipelines for clients, taking into account their priorities, investment guidelines, and existing investments, supporting their due diligence and obtain relevant approvals, where needed.
- Manage the investment allocation and trade process for executed deals, in line with our policy and ensuring appropriate documentation.
- Communicate material credit developments to clients, help address their queries and liaise with the relevant credit analyst as needed.
- Contribute to quarterly and ad hoc reporting on investment activity, portfolio credit health, and portfolio performance, utilising internal systems including Aladdin, Salesforce and Allvue as well as AI tools.
- Attend and support meetings with existing and prospective clients, and support the preparation of client presentations.
- Strong academic background, with a minimum 2:1 (or equivalent) degree from a leading university
- At least 2-3 years of work experience in a relevant field
- Working understanding of fixed income markets and credit investment
- Fluency in business-level English
- Very good interpersonal skills
- Able to communicate with clients in a professional, accurate and timely manner
- Knowledge of Aladdin, Salesforce, Allvue and/or Bloomberg
- Proficiency with AI tools and the development of agents and skills
- Additional languages, especially German or Dutch
