Leads investment analytics and data engineering in support of the CCIO investment program. Enhances investment decisions by designing comprehensive analytics and visualization of investment data. Ability to manage multiple projects pertaining to data needs within CCIO, including but not limited to managing vendors and guiding maintenance of CCIO’s data warehouse and streamline data flows across different systems. Automate recurring analytics and reporting to support CCIO team members work at the “top of the license.”


  • Works as part of the Operations, Risks & Performance team and provides a leadership role on CCIO’s investment analytics and data/report automation functions, to enhance CCIO’s Investment Program.
  • Oversees the design and maintenance of CCIO’s investment analytics function to support investment teams by providing useful insights, designing and automating recurring analytics, visualizing useful data and administer data-intensive work programs within CCIO.
  • Oversees data integrity (e.g., single sources of truths), data workflow management and investment data accuracy within the data warehouse.
  • Designs and implements investment data visualization dashboards that are a) supportable, b) accurate and c) relevant.
  • Manages a small team and if needed, seeks the help of other team members within CCIO Ops, Risk and Performance group, to ensure sufficient redundancy and on-going maintenance of critical investment performance, operations, and macroeconomic dashboards.
  • Stays abreast of the evolving best market practices and emerging technologies / vendors in the investment analytics space
  • Designs and generates analytics output with CCIO’s proprietary data that are useful in enhancing investment decisions on the portfolios, asset classes or individual managers.
  • Oversees automation projects and with a focus on constant improvement for processes surrounding data workflows and investment analytics.
  • Designs and implements efficient data flows between various investment management systems including but not limited to custodian systems, Dynamo, Private I, eVestment, Tableau and Bloomberg.
  • Managing relationships with key internal and external vendors/partners, including CCF Enterprise Analytics, CCF IT team, Dynamo, custodian bank BNY Mellon, FactSet etc.
  • Generates and implements solutions to leverage data to enhance investment decision making, e.g. manager watch list, systematic evaluations of past decisions etc.
  • Maintains appropriate documents and policies to ensure data and dashboards remain accurate as processes and vendors change.
  • Oversees on-boarding process to ensure new investments are accurately included in all internal systems and pertinent terms are tracked.
  • Designs and oversees detection processes to identify events that have impacts on downstream data flows and dashboards.
  • Assists in cross-training on all work programs to ensure redundancies and adequate coverage.
  • Ability to identify system improvements and work to implement necessary changes.
  • Willingness to participate in different value-add projects within the department.
  • Willingness to assist in recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and counseling junior staff.

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative subjects such as Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Physics, Finance, quantitative Economics, Risk Management or related field.
  • Master’s or other advance degree preferred.

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) preferred.

Complexity of Work:

  • Organized and disciplined self-starter, with ability to take ownership of responsibilities and projects and execute to a high standard
  • Familiar with manages database optimization, data workflow, and visualization techniques.
  • Proficient knowledge of software used for investment analytics, data science and data visualization.
  • Familiar with the financial markets, multi-asset class portfolio concepts including risks and investment performance reporting.
  • Proficient with managing large amount of data. Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills, and a high level of proficiency in Excel, SQL or other programming languages and data visualization tools.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to improving accuracy of data and preventing errors.
  • A proactive interest in streamlining processes, and knowledge of available technology in that pursuit.
  • Willingness to teach and coach less experienced team members.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of work experience in data analytics / visualization
  • Investment and asset management background preferred.
  • Master’s degree and/or successful completion of CFA may offset experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.
  • In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
  • In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $57.19

Maximum hourly: $91.52

A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education.
