The firm’s Investment Research Group, which is based entirely in our San Francisco office, includes approximately 25 investment professionals (including the firm’s Co-Chief Investment Officers), who are organized primarily by asset class: public equity (long and long-short), absolute return/credit (fixed income, hedge funds, and private credit), private equity (buyout, growth, and venture capital), and real assets (real estate, natural resources). The Research Group also includes two teams that collaborate with asset class teams on investment diligence, evaluation of existing managers, and other thematic projects: Cross Asset Research & Strategy and Full Consequence Investing. Investment Research professionals typically focus primarily on a single asset class or team.
